Agreement, Release and Waiver of Liability

You acknowledge that studio, online and live streamed classes with Emily Altneu are designed to improve your physical wellness by providing a series of general yet beneficial movements and motivational attention. You acknowledge that your participation in these classes, including studio, online and live streamed classes is at your sole risk.

You should always consult with your doctor before beginning any type of exercise or physical activity.

The class/classes provided by Emily Altneu are for educational and entertainment purposes only, and is not be interpreted as a recommendation for a specific treatment plan, or course of action. 

You have volunteered to participate in either studio, home visit, online or live streamed Pilates class with Emily Altneu. You do here release and discharge and hereby hold Emily Altneu from all claims, demands, damages, rights or causes of action, present and future, arising out of or connected with your participation in this or any program including any injuries resulting from them.

This waiver also applies to any equipment that may malfunction or break, their negligent instruction or supervision and any slipping and/ or falling dropping of equipment whilst exercising with Emily Altneu.

To your best knowledge you are in good physical condition and have no disease, physical limitation, health concern or injury that would be aggravated or would be the cause of any injury sustained, before, during or as a result of your participating in activities related either directly and/ or indirectly to undertaking classes with Emily Altneu. 

You recognise that exercise is not without risks, and this or any other exercise programme may result in injury. These risks include but are not limited to: risk of injury, aggravation of a pre-existing condition, or adverse effect of over-exertion such a muscle strain, abnormal blood pressure, fainting, disorders of heart beat, and very rare instances of heart attack. You understand that because of your participation in an exercise or programme you could suffer an injury or physical disorder that could result in your becoming partially or totally disabled and incapable of performing any gainful employment or having a normal social life.

To reduce the risk of injury, before beginning this or any exercise programme, please consult a healthcare provider for appropriate exercise prescription and safety precautions. The exercise instruction and advice presented in the classes are in no way intended as a substitute for medical consultation. Emily Altneu disclaims any liability from and in connection with the classes. As with any exercise programme, if at any point during the class you begin to feel faint, dizzy or have any physical discomfort, you should stop immediately and seek medical advice. 

In any event, you acknowledge and agree that you assume the risks associated with any and all activities and/ or exercises in which you participate.

You acknowledge and agree that no warranties or representations have been made to me regarding the results you will achieve from studio, online or streamed classes.

You understand that results are individual and may vary.

You acknowledge that you have thoroughly read this waiver and release and fully understand that it is a release of liability.

You are waiving any right you or your successors might have to bring a legal action or assert a claim against Emily Altneu for her negligence or that of your employees, agents, or contractors.

Please take note of the following precautions before taking online class at home and read this disclaimer:

To reduce and avoid injury, you will want to check with your doctor before beginning the classes. Please check that your workout area is safe; that you have sufficient space to move freely without obstacles or obstruction, sufficient heating and lighting as well as being able to stay hydrated. You may need to get approval from a GP or medical professional prior to the session. By participating in the online classes, you are doing so at your own risk. Emily Altneu will not be responsible or liable for any injury or harm you sustain because of her Pilates programmes. If at any point during the class you begin to feel faint, dizzy or have any physical discomfort, you should stop immediately and seek medical advice. Please use good judgement and common sense when taking the class, consider your level and ability and choose the appropriate level of the exercises and rest when you need to.

You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review these terms above periodically to familiarise yourself with any modifications. By continuing to access and use the website, social media channels, email notes, video and audio recommendations you consent and agree to be bound by the terms above.
